Dr. Sophie Karg – Specialist in Dermatology

§ 1 Scope of Application
(1) These General Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Dr. Sophie Karg's practice (hereinafter "the Practice") in the fields of dermatology, aesthetics, and hair transplantation.
(2) They apply in particular to the use of the online appointment booking system, appointment scheduling, and the performance of treatments.
(3) Deviating conditions of the patient will not be recognized unless the Practice expressly agrees to their validity in writing.
§ 2 Services
(1) The Practice provides private medical services in the field of dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and hair transplantation.
(2) The type and scope of treatment will be discussed individually with the patient. Before medical procedures are carried out, separate clarification and consent will be obtained.
(3) A treatment contract is concluded with the booking of an appointment or, at the latest, with the commencement of treatment.
§ 3 Appointment Booking
(1) Appointments can be booked online via the booking system, by telephone at 089 89129400, or by email at contact@drsophiekarg.de.
(2) By booking an appointment, a binding appointment agreement is made. Treatment time is reserved exclusively for the patient for each booked appointment.
(3) When booking online, the patient confirms, by checking the corresponding box, that they have read and accept these General Terms and Conditions and the privacy policy.
§ 4 Appointment Cancellation and Cancellation Fee
(1) Booked appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed appointment.
(2) Cancellations can be made:

- By email at info@drsophiekarg.de
- Via the online booking system
(3) The timely receipt by the Practice is decisive for the timeliness of the cancellation.
(4) In case of no-show without cancellation or cancellation less than 24 hours before the appointment, a cancellation fee will be charged.
(5) The cancellation fee amounts to up to 100% of the estimated treatment fee. It serves to compensate for the damage caused by the loss of the reserved treatment time.
(6) In case of repeated no-shows, the Practice reserves the right to refrain from making further appointments or to demand an advance payment.
§ 5 Remuneration
(1) The Practice provides exclusively private medical services. Billing through statutory health insurance is not possible.
(2) Billing is based on the German Schedule of Fees for Doctors (GOÄ) in its currently valid version.
(3) Reimbursement by private health insurance companies or public assistance agencies may vary depending on the tariff. The patient is responsible for checking the eligibility for reimbursement.
(4) Aesthetic services are charged plus the statutory value-added tax.
§ 6 Payment
(1) Invoices are payable within 14 days of invoicing without deduction.
(2) For certain treatments (especially hair transplants and extensive aesthetic procedures), a deposit or advance payment may be agreed upon.
(3) In case of default in payment, the Practice is entitled to charge default interest at the statutory rate.
§ 7 Liability
(1) Liability for medical malpractice is governed by statutory provisions.
(2) For damages arising from the use of the online booking system, the Practice is only liable in cases of intent or gross negligence.
(3) No liability is assumed for technical malfunctions that are beyond the control of the Practice.
§ 8 Data Protection
The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Details can be found in the Privacy Policy.
§ 9 Changes to the General Terms and Conditions
The Practice reserves the right to change these General Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version can be viewed on the website. For existing appointment agreements, the version valid at the time of booking applies.
§ 10 Final Provisions
(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
(2) Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.(3) The place of jurisdiction is Munich, to the extent legally permissible.
